Choose a familiar starting point, listen to the English model, then try a short lesson or game together. There is no email form before you open the web app.
1. Choose a comfortable starting skill
Start in Learn & explore with a familiar letter sound. Move to blending when your child can hear and recognise a few sounds.
2. Listen to the English model
Tap to hear a recorded letter sound. Replay it together before trying an answer. Letter names and letter sounds are different: the name of m is “em”, while its sound is /m/.
3. Practise in a game
Try Sound Detective for matching or Word Builder for blending. A small success can be listening again, noticing a letter or asking for help.
4. Revisit a tricky word
Use the Practice Backpack to return to words that need another try. Stars, badges and daily quests add encouragement; there is no need to finish everything in one sitting.
A simple session to try
Listen to /s/, /a/ and /t/. Slide the sounds together to read sat. Build the word in a game, read it once more and stop or choose another short activity. Adapt the pace to your child.
